Backbay Construction, Inc. is a local commercial site work and roadway contractor located in Fort Myers, Florida.  Fully licensed and insured.  Owned and operated for over 12 years, the company primarily focuses on commercial site work preparation including land clearing, excavating, grading, asphalt paving, storm drainage, striping & signage, concrete curbing and flatwork.

Backbay Construction employs 40+ people at this single location, consisting of office staff, Estimators, Supervisors, Foremen, Heavy Equipment Operators and other field personnel.

Michael R. Thesier formed Backbay Construction, Inc. in 2009.  He holds a Certified General Contractor's License with the State of Florida and a Bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of Florida.  He is involved in every aspect of the business ranging from the field to the office.  His day to day management responsibilities include oversight of Estimating, Project Management, Project Supervision, and Accounting.
